SUBSEQUENT TO THE CAPTURE OF THOPPIGALA, security forces were able to recover arms and ammunition, in their cordon and search operations.

A camera, left behind by the fleeing terrorists was also found. The photographs found exposed the inhuman condition in which innocent civilians were imprisoned by the LTTE terrorists.


Refusal to support the LTTE, non - compliance to their orders and refusal to pay ransom are the apparent reasons for their detention in such, inhuman conditions and harassment. This is another instance of terrorists inhuman treatment of innocent Tamil citizens.
